The Super Eagles have officially announced their 28-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, blending established stars with emerging talent as they aim to go one step further than their runner-up finish at the last tournament. Head coach Eric Chelle has put his faith in a powerful attacking lineup led by Victor Osimhen, the Galatasaray striker expected to spearhead Nigeria’s bid, alongside dynamic winger Ademola Lookman. Midfield strength comes from seasoned performers such as Wilfred Ndidi and Frank Onyeka, while experience and pace in defence are provided by players like Calvin Bassey and Zaidu Sanusi.

The squad also features a mix of seasoned internationals and exciting newcomers. Goalkeeping duties are set to be shared by Stanley Nwabali, Francis Uzoho, and Amas Obasogie, while the forward line includes the likes of Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Paul Onuachu, and Cyriel Dessers giving Chelle plenty of attacking options. With Nigeria drawn in Group C alongside Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda, expectations are high for the Super Eagles to challenge for their fourth AFCON title when the tournament kicks off on December 21, 2025.
