Caf 2025 award winners

The CAF Awards 2025 were held on 19 November 2025 in Rabat, Morocco, at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. Here is the Full List of CAF 2025 Award Winners


Interclub Player of the Year


Men’s Interclub Player of the Year: Fiston Mayele (DR Congo / Pyramids) was crowned, according to CAF’s live blog.


Women’s Interclub Player of the Year: The selection process has been extended in order to factor in performances in the ongoing CAF Women champions league. The winner will therefore be announced later on to ensure the worthy winner is selected.


Men's Club of the Year


Men’s Club of the Year: Pyramids FC (Egypt) won their first-ever Club of the Year award.


Women’s Club of the Year: The selection process has been extended in order to factor in performances in the ongoing CAF Women champions league. The winner will therefore be announced later on to ensure the worthy winner is selected.


National Team of the Year


Men’s National Team of the Year: Morocco U-20 won this award. The Moroccan U20 side was awarded for their impressive performances, including winning the FIFA U-20 World Cup.


Women’s National Team of the Year: Nigeria, The Super Falcons remain a powerhouse in African women’s football.


Young Player of the year


Young Player of the Year (Men): Othmane Maamma (Morocco) won. Othmane Maamma (Morocco) won the Young Player of the Year (Men) award for 2025 after an outstanding breakout season in which he emerged as one of Morocco’s most exciting rising talents, impressing with his technical skill, maturity, and consistent performances at both club and youth national team level.


Women’s Young Player of the Year: Doha El Madani. Representing Morocco, El Madani stood out among emerging female talents.


Goal of the year


Goal of the Year: Clement Mzize (Tanzania / Young Africans) won. The thunderous Goal was scored against Tp Mazembe.


Referee of the Year


Best Male Referee: Omar Abdulkadir (Somalia)

Best Female Referee: Samirah Nabadda (Uganda)

Assistant Female Referee: Tabara Mbodji (Senegal)


Goalkeeper of the Year


Yassine Bounou wins goalkeeper of the year caf 2025

Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year: Yassine Bounou. The Moroccan goalkeeper (playing for Al-Hilal) won, beating out other strong contenders.


Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year: Chiamaka Nnadozie (Nigeria). Nnadozie, a top-level shot-stopper, took home the award among strong competition.


African Player of the Year


Men’s African Player of the Year: Achraf Hakimi, (Morocco). The PSG right-back won this top individual honor, becoming the first defender in decades to take the award.

Women’s African Player of the Year: Ghizlaine Chebbak. Ghizlaine Chebbak, winner of the Women’s African Player of the Year, earned the award for her outstanding leadership and consistent top-level performances for both Morocco and Al Hilal, solidifying her status as one of Africa’s most influential female footballers.


Coach of the Year


Men’s Coach of the Year:  Bubista (Cape Verde). Bubista (Cape Verde) won the Men’s Coach of the Year award for leading Cape Verde to one of their strongest competitive years in history, and their first ever qualification to the World cup.


Women’s Club of the Year: The selection process has been extended in order to factor in performances in the ongoing CAF Women champions league. The winner will therefore be announced later on to ensure the worthy winner is selected.
