Nigeria produced a commanding second-half performance to defeat Brazil and secure their maiden appearance in the tournament's final.

Brazil managed to pull one goal back through Greise Kelly in the 89th minute, but Nigeria held on to secure a historic victory.

Japan present a difficult final test

Japan booked their place in the final after defeating defending champions North Korea in a dramatic semi-final. The match finished 1-1 after extra time, with Japan winning 4-1 on penalties.

The Japanese side demonstrated resilience by scoring a late equaliser before producing a composed performance in the shootout. Their victory ended North Korea's hopes of winning a third consecutive title.

Nigeria target maiden world crown

The Flamingos will enter the final with confidence after overcoming Brazil, but Japan's technical ability and determination could provide a significant challenge.

A victory would represent a landmark achievement for Nigerian women's football, taking the team beyond its previous best finish of third place in 2022.

Nigeria's young stars now have an opportunity to turn an already memorable campaign into a historic triumph. With the world title at stake, the Flamingos will be hoping to deliver another outstanding performance and bring the trophy home.
