Algeria reached their first-ever WAFCON semi-final after defeating Côte d'Ivoire, while Malawi continued their remarkable debut tournament by beating Ghana 2-1. The Scorchers are now just one victory away from reaching the final in their first appearance.

CAF's official schedule confirms that both WAFCON 2026 semi-finals will be played on August 12 in Rabat.


The four semi-finalists have also secured qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup in Brazil, adding even greater significance to these matches.

The four teams that lost in the quarterfinals will take part in a play-off match where the 2 winners will play the inter-confederation playoff to seek qualification for the Women's World cup.
