Sorry Italy were put to the sword by Austrian Johannes MOSER who scored a brace to end the Italians' run in the tournament. The first half was an even affair and it ended goalless with both sides struggling to get their attempts on target.
The break through came for Austria in the 57th minute when Johannes Moser broke the deadlock. Things got worse for Italy late in the second half when Benit BORASIO
was sent off (90'+2'). Moser put the game to bed moments later to ensure the Austrians are through to the Final.

Austria’s Road to the Final
Austria secured their semi-final spot by defeating Japan 1–0 in the quarter-finals, with Johannes Moser scoring the decisive goal. This defeat means they are through to the final where they will face either Portugal or Brazil.
Their defense has been a key strength so far, and they have shown consistency in knockout matches.
Austria’s youth system is proving effective on the world stage, and their U-17 squad has the cohesion and discipline needed to go far.
Italy’s Journey So Far
Italy advanced to this semi-final by scraping past Burkina Faso U17 with a late goal from Thomas Campaniello in their quarter-final game.
Historically, Italy’s U-17 program is very strong: they won the 2024 UEFA U-17 European Championship, showcasing attacking flair and defensive balance.
They will back themselves to at least win the Bronze medal against Brail or Portugal.
Why The Austria vs Italy U17 Match Matters
For Austria, a win marked a historic achievement and reaching the U-17 World Cup final is a major statement for their youth development.
For Italy, reaching the final would have continued their recent success at U-17 level (including their 2024 European U-17 title) and underline them as a powerhouse in youth football.
This match wasn’t just about the here and now: it showed the next generation of stars who might soon step up to senior international football.
